GIS 111 - Introduction to Geographical Information Systems 3 Credit(s)
During this course students will demonstrate the use of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and their applications. Topics include getting data into a GIS, displaying the data on maps, editing the data, querying the data set and displaying the results of the queries. As part of the course students will be given hands-on experience in the practical applications of a geographical information system. At the end of the course students will complete a project related to their career field.
