Award: Certificate

Description: The Sports Admininistration certificate will allow students to get a core understanding of the administrative issues related to sports, leisure services, and events and facilities managment. The certificate is related to the Business Administration AAS degree but its focus is for those students who want a basic understanding of business principles applied to sports organization and leisure services opportunities. 

Program Learning Outcomes:

• Students will understand best practice business concepts to use in their careers.
• Students will describe the value of working with a diverse group.
• Students will apply the basic financial knowledge required of an entry to mid-level business professional.    
• Students will understand the elements of the marketing mix as they apply to organizations.    
• Students will demonstrate the oral and written skills expected of an entry to mid-level business professional.    
• Students will outline the basic skills and abilities needed by managers today and the immediate future.
