Program Entry:  Enrollment may occur during any term. Fall term is the start of the program course sequence.

Award: Certificate

Description: The online Animal Science certificate will provide an additional certificate of completion for Beef and Dairy Science majors. Additionally the online Animal Science certificate will be available for concurrent high schools students. Also the online Animal Science certificate will be an excellent endorsement to compliment students achieving a degree in other NICC Agriculture programs.

Program Learning Outcomes:

  • Student will be able to create a cattle herd management database.
  • Student will be able develop a cattle herd replacement strategy.
  • Student will be able to build a cattle herd feeding program.
  • Student will be able cattle milk harvest protocols.
  • Student will be able to a create a bio-secure environment to house cattle.
  • Student will be able to design a cattle herd breeding program.
  • Student will be able to assess a cattle financial database.
