MAT 128 - Precalculus 4 Credit(s) Precalculus prepares students for Calculus. During this course students will study the nature of elementary functions and their role in mathematics by integrating a combination of algebra and trigonometry. Topics include the real number system, functions, polynomial and rational functions, exponential and logarithmic functions, trigonometric functions, trigonometric identities, analytic trigonometry, systems of equations and matrices. The students will be able to apply a working knowledge of algebra and trigonometry for further study in Analytic Geometry and Calculus. Lecture Hours: 64 |
Prerequisite(s): A minimum grade of C- in MAT 102 or MAT 747 or qualifying placement score. Note: Corresponds to college or university lower division coursework.
