MAT 117 - Math for Elementary Teachers 3 Credit(s) This course will focus on math concepts taught in K-6. Topics will be covered from both a practical and theoretical standpoint, with an emphasis on practical understanding using concrete examples. Course content includes problem-solving, number systems and bases, number theory, geometry, measurement, probability and statistics, operations on real numbers, set theory, and basic algebraic principles. This course is for students in education fields. This is not a methods course. Lecture Hours: 48
Prerequisite(s): A minimum grade of C- in MAT 063 or qualifying placement score
