WEL 433 - Basic Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) 3.5 Credit(s) An introductory class studying Short Circuit Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) and other related processes. Topics such as process variation, welding in various positions, and principle of operation, shielding gases, and wires will be studied. Safety and practical application of these welding processes will be stressed. Lecture Hours: 16 | Lab Hours: 80
Prerequisite(s): The student will utilize GMAW processes. Corequisite(s):
- The students will be able to perform the GMAW process.
- The students will be able to apply their welding proficiency using the GMAW process.
