AGS 353 - Animal Genetics 3 Credit(s) During this course students will focus on the improvement of beef and dairy cattle. Genetic improvement of other domesticated food animals such as swine, sheep, goats, and poultry will also be discussed. Principles of basic animal genetics including cell structure, DNA, both qualitative and qualitative selection and genomics. and how they are incorporated into successful farm breeding programs.
