HSV 160 - Making a Difference 3 Credit(s) Introduces careers related to working with people with disabilities; this includes a special emphasis on the need of paraeducators in the classroom learning environment. Introduces special education, residential services, vocational services, recreational services and other services for children and adults with disabilities along with an introduction to specific disabilities and human development. Covers professionalism, teamwork, instructional strategies, interventions, communications skills and behavior management. Requires completion of service learning projects.
