CRJ 201 - Juvenile Delinquency

Introduces the conceptions, history, establishment, philosophies and structure of the juvenile justice system. Reviews the system from the perspective of the courts, system support personnel, the juvenile and family members. Discusses the theoretical and practical workings of the juvenile justice system and the differences in the system vis-à-vis the adult criminal system. Provides insight into the protection of individual rights and the goals of prevention and treatment of the juvenile. Lecture Hours: 48 | Lab Hours: 0
