WEL 148 - Arc Welding Intermediate (SMAW)

During this course students will utilize AC transformer and DC motor generating arc welding machines. Studies are made of welding heats, polarities, and electrodes for use in joining various metal alloys by the arc welding process. The student will create 2G, 3G, 2F, and 3F groove and fillet welds to D1.1 AWS code. Safety procedures are emphasized throughout the course in the use of tools and equipment.
