NET 266 - CCNA Routing and Switching: Introduction to Networks

The first of four courses leading to the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) designation. The first of two courses leading to the Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT). Course introduces the architecture, structure, functions, components and models of the Internet and other computer networks and the principles, as well as the structure of IP addressing and the fundamentals of Ethernet concepts, media and operations to provide a foundation for the curriculum. By the end of the course, students will be able to build simple LANs, perform basic configurations for routers and switches and implement IP addressing schemes. Lecture Hours: 32 | Lab Hours: 32

Prerequisite(s): must be passed with a minimum grade of C- to progress in the Computer Technology major and all Cisco class requirements must be met to progress through the Cisco class sequence
