Acquaints students with major developments in Russian history and culture from ancient times to recent decades. Special emphasis includes the ordinary life of common people that will enrich an understanding of Russian history and culture. The course goal is to introduce a general understanding of Russia’s historical and cultural development while broadening language and critical thinking skills through reading, listening, speaking and writing.
